Playing House

Max and I started a cute post on Tuesday, but the pictures wouldn't work and I am just going to wait until I get them to upload. So I did this last year and luckily got to do so again, I'm watching those Cheney kids again!! Josh and Amy are in Hawaii and we are kicking it up in Kaysville!! (I'm home now so from this point the post will be in past tense.)
Josh and Amy left Sunday morning, we took some pictures then went off to church. When we got back they were gone. Amy had left each child a card and a treat. When I am a mom I want to leave notes like this family. They leave notes in lunchboxes, taped to mirrors and doors, pretty much everywhere. Emma had a huge stash of notes that she had saved, so sweet. Anyways, back to my post. They went to their Grandma's for Sunday dinner then back home late so I got them ready for bed.
Monday - Casey is in 7th grade and pretty much gets herself ready, also she made sure Max had his cereal everymorning. I am so grateful for that, it meant I got to sleep in until 7:00. Sam would get his stuff done then dissapear downstairs to play Wii, then I would make sure Emma stuck to her schedule (I am pretty sure I will have a kid like her because I was like this, too busy talking to get stuff done) After they went to school I helped Max do his hair, folks he approved of the way I did a Mohawk this time around. I dropped him off at his cousins then off to school for me. Back home and made some German Pancakes for dinner, (Max ate his 3rd or 4th bowl of cereal) Then homework, soccer, jumping on the tramp and Wii Minigolf
Tuesday - Ater the morning routine of getting the kids off to school Max and I went to Fresh Market for some Root Beer and a grow your own monster. (the grow your own monster wasn't on the list but it was 25 cents and he said please.... ) Back home for the Floats, u probably saw the pictures. Then we went to the library so Max could play Webkinz (the computer at home would freeze alot) I got to read a magazine. Then dropped him off at a friends so I could head to work. Tuesday night we got Big Daddy's pizza, (I'm pretty sure Max had cereal with his pizza) Then homework and Wii Minigolf.
Wednesday - Get kids to school, drop Max off at a friends, last day of morning class (gonna miss Mindy and crazy Jamie, work, Presentation in class (also last day of this class) then home. Homework, more Wii Minigolf and bed.
Thursday - Get kids to sleep, Max and I played and watched tv till the library opened. More Webkinz for him, Mary Higgins Clark for me. Then to Sugar Daisy Bakery for a DELICIOUS Peanut Butter Bar for me and a cookie the size of his head for Max. Then off to his friends and work for me. Home and made Spaghetti and breadsticks, (this was fun because Casey helped me and we had a fun time.) Max actually ate this instead of Cereal :)
Friday - Max had a friend over and I gave them leftover Spaghetti (his friend got noodles everywhere lol) Then they left for Kindergarten, I drove to Emma's friends then back home to write directions to the first of 2 parties for Friday night. Off to work. Race to their Cousin's to pick up Sam and his cousin Liam for Baseball practice. Race to Emma's first party to pick her and Sam's baseball stuff up. Drop off Sam and Liam for practice, drop off Emma at second party. Then go home to take a breather. phew. Casey leaves for her sleepover then Max and I go to pick up the boys from their soccer practice. To Chevron for gas and a redbox movie or 2. Emma slept at a friends so it was just me and the boys, they watched Astroboy and I read the rest of my book.
Saturday - Sam and Liam slept in while Max and I ate at 7 (Max needed his cereal) since I was up I made Max watch Princess and the frog with me, LOVED IT!! Then played around until Sam's game (HE KICKED BUTT!!) Then when me and the boys got home we had Casey come back from her sleepover and once Emma got home from her game (ALSO KICKED BUTT) we all loaded into the van for some YOGURT STOP!! The van didn't start... I felt so bad, I had one too many to fit in my car so we had to wait for Liam to go home (don't worry he didn't know about that part, that would have been sad.) We did make some delicious homemade pizza's with ham and pineapple. We also made Italian Cream Sodas. Me and Emma made 2 pizzas they were so good. Then once the dinner was eaten Liam got picked up and we headed off to Yogurt Stop. I love that place, YUM!! We were sure to leave some post it notes on the board, look for them. Then on the way home we dropped Casey off at her Cousin's, we made a quick stop after at the Noorlander Family. They loved it, the Noorlanders have a pond and a fire pole, a tramp and just the coolest yard ever. Max said he wanted to live there. After that we went home to have the kids tub so they would be ready for Church.
Sunday - Church then a movie and just laying around resting after church. To their other Grandparents for Sunday Dinner. Back home to get ready for their parents coming home the next morning. We painted pictures and our toes even Sam. We watched Up, CUTE movie.
Monday - Started the day at 5 AM with Sam throwing up, got that cleaned up then went back to bed. Woke up 2 hours later and did NOT feel well, but got the girls off to bed and Max's hair and bed made. Then rested until Amy and Josh got back. Didn't go to work and now I'm feeling like I might make it tomorrow.
This post is super long and I'm sorry, but it was such a fun time and I loved all the fun stuff we did and also learning how to schedule and get things done with almost no time. lol LOVED IT!! I will do another post soon about each kid and how great they are, seriously these kids were so good for me.

Purple Feet and Stars Upon Thars.....

I have been in the mood to get MESSY!! Luckily I work with Children, PERFECT!! I feel bad though because one boy missed it, next time I will wake him up no matter how long it takes!! Also, doesn't painting with your feet look like such fun, IT WAS!! I got paint on my feet, legs, arms and skirt, clearly making this a success :) With the help of my afternoon girls we got paper taped to the floor, pants rolled up or exchanged for shorts then came the paint. I'm going to do this more often.

showing off our purple feet and the clean part of my skirt

That is Miss Katie you can see off to the right, cleaning the paint off her feet. Today was also Dr. Suess day and I decided to dress like a Sneetch, I'm a Star Bellied Sneetch!! Stay tuned for some more fun work posts for this month, you never know what you will see ;)

Can I Marry You Please??

Tuesday afternoon at work we had a girl party, there were only 2 boys and they were asleep. We pulled out the dress-ups and cranked up Taylor Swift. During Love Story I decided to teach the little girls a very valuable lesson. I explained that just like Love Story we girls should only agree to marry boys if the boy gets down on one knee when he proposes. After a couple different songs they returned to Love Story and were "proposing" to each other. Rynn turns to me and says, "Miss Jacque, will you marry me?" I said I couldn't answer until she got on one knee. She got on one knee and said, "Miss Jacque, Can I Marry You, PLEASE."

Beat that Mr. Right!!

Santa Claus is Coming To Town!!

December started with a phone call from the Office telling us someone had left a gift for the kids there. The kids went to see what had been left for them and it was this book.
Elf on the Shelf: A magic Elf comes during to watch over you every day. He leaves at night and tells Santa every good and bad thing you did that day, then he returns to a new spot every day. You can't touch him because his magic might go away.
He needs a name so they voted and his name became Buddy.
His first hiding spot, he had some GREAT ones. There were a few that must have required some extra magic to stay. Great hiding Buddy.

That was the beggining of December, near the end a special visitor came:
Santa Claus!! He started his visit with a story.

After the story came the most anticipated time... PRESENT TIME!!

Sydney was soo funny, she was by Santa's side the whole time. When her friend Ava's name was called She FREAKED out. She was so excited that Ava got a gift, more excited than when it was her turn.

Gotta thank my Photographer, Grace. Thanks for taking pictures, seriously love this one of Santa Isaac.

As if I'm not Fixating Enough....

I love my Kiddies.... they give me joy and make me laugh, but there are some days that they, well, they ruin my day a little bit.

Today out of the blue:

Noah: Miss Jacque, are you going to have another baby?
Me: Um, I don't HAVE a baby.
Noah: Why don't you have a baby?
Me: Because I'm not married.
Noah: Why aren't you married?
Me: I guess I haven't found the right guy yet.
Noah: Why haven't you found the right guy yet?
Me: I just don't know.
Noah: Oh, I thought you were supposed to be married.
Me: I'm not, but thanks, thanks for bringing that to my attention.

On the First Day of Christmas My Tulip Gave to Me...

Yesterday after lunch we had a coloring party in the kitchen (not a technical party, just a bunch of girls coloring christmas pictures). Miss Jeri had put some Christmas music in and after a while one of the girls turns to me and says, "Who's Tulip", I was lost. I told her I didn't know and she continued to ask me. I was doing the fastest thinking of my life, then it came to me: "It's not Tulip it's TRUE LOVE , On the First Day of Christmas My TRUE LOVE Gave to Me" I started singing along with the song and she stops me and says, "Miss Jacque, You're not my True Love". "Oh I know, if you were my True Love your name would be Costco", (Name she gave Ken in one of our Daycare Barbie Weddings). We couldn't stop laughing.......

Witchy Twitchy Tuesday

If you can't tell, I'm REALLY excited for Halloween. The older I get the more I love it. Working at the Day Care is a big part of that, it gives you an excuse to act like a kid again and their excitement is also very contagious. :) I saw this idea in a Better Homes and Garden magazine and when I saw it I knew I had to try it out. These are Witch Hats made with Frosting, Cookies and Kisses.

One of our groups hard at work!!
We did this project in groups, mostly so I could keep an eye on the Frosting...

Some of our finished products.

My favorite Pirate and his Witch Hat
This is Grant, you can't tell but his Hat turned out AWESOME!!

Ava showing me her Cookie, and I'm sure Cheryl knows what she is starting to say right here. "Let Me See!!" she liked the photo and so do I!!
Stay tuned for more Halloween fun..........

Mummy Monday

We love being Mummies every year for Halloween!! This time instead of paper roll we used Toilet Paper Rolls, which looks more realistic but it tore easily. We did a contest and had Brigden and Grant be our Mummies and Noell and Addie wrapped them. The first group to use all their Toilet Paper won, it ripped a lot but they were persistant and both groups tied!!
Everyone dressing up like Mummies
After eveyone had a turn dressing up like a Mummy they realized Miss Jacque would be the perfect person to wrap like a Mummy
It kind of looks like I'm licking the Toilet paper, but I'm not. I promise.

Bzzzzz Sting!!

This summer, along with working at The Ink Spot, I would sometimes watch my Cousin's Boy, Miles!! We had a blast, playing Legos, Dinosaurs and Cars. We made a few trips to the school to play on the playground and also tried out his new swimming pool. One of the many cute things he does is Bzzzzz STING!! He gets a pretend bug or his finger and goes Bzzzzzz. Once that bug gets your arm, leg, etc. he stings you. Makes me laugh. Here are some pictures of our fun together.

Miles the Bear!! This was in his box of animals, couldn't resist seeing how he looked in it!!

He really did have fun wearing it, he just didn't want me to take his picture. :)

We loved drawing with chalk!! I didn't do too bad I think, Miles loved my Dinosaur and Dragon the best.

Funny Story:
We were in the Kitchen and I saw this ambulance on the counter and got it down for Miles. Inside there was an Indian and 2 Dinosaurs. Miles pulled them out and immediately ran them over. After making sure all of them were knocked over, he then loaded them up. I couldn't stop laughing!!

The poor Victims

The two faced Ambulance
