My Dad

Since it is Fathers Day I figured I would do a post about my Dad... or as I call him Gary. (Yes he is my biological Dad that is just what we have called him since I can remember)
He loves Lionel trains.

He looks like Alan Alda. (When I was little I really thought he was Hawkeye, especially since they had the same red bathrobes.)

He has the tendency to act like Steve Martin....

He grew up on a farm

He Loves Popcorn!!

I could go on forever, since my dad really is awesome. But I won't, this is just a few things about him. :)

Ahhhh the Joy of Limes!!

Thanks to Candi for getting me addicted!! :)

Nothing like Fresh Limes in Pepsi..... or just to bite :)

My Very first attempt at Frosted Lime Bars, I was nervous. I always am when I bake, I'm always worried it won't work (a.k.a taste horrible). It didn't taste too bad if I do say so myself. I'm now excited to try the rest of the recipes in my Piece of Cake cookbook.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

My family went to the open house for this Temple last week. We first went to A&W for dinner (The nicest dressed ones there if I do say so myself). It was a long drive but well worth it. When we went in it was lightly raining, I know I have occasionally complained about the Rain, but honestly I love it. It was so pretty and before we actually went in we watched a short movie. Towards the end the rain picked up and was shaking the tent we were in and though I wondered for a second if it would fall, it held tight. Then to actually walk through, the beauty was beyond words and it was so nice to walk around and see the detail and hard work that went into it. I haven't been to an open house since I was little, and I am glad to have had the opportunity to do so now that I am older and can really appreciate and comprehend the amazing gift that Temples are.

When you are facing a problem do you.........

A.) Face it head on
B.) Get others opinion before taking action
C.) Avoid and put it off

I am the person who marks C!! I had a hard time saying goodbye to all my preschoolers (I still need to blog about my last week at the daycare and our first tri and I'll get around to it.... one of these days. lol)
Anywho..... what with the emotional last week of school and not being sure what to do about for the summer, I kind of just played it by ear........ meaning I spent the first week of summer vacation just being lazy and also taking care of Max... (My favorite Chocolate Lab!!) We went on walks and watched What I Like About You. We also enjoyed the Rain, after getting over the fact that I would not be working on my tan I decided that Sitting on the deck and sipping Hot Cocoa was Delightful!!
Back to the original meaning and purpose of this Post..... I finally decided what to do with my summer, luckily I have AWESOME cousins and Aunt. Yep, I moved to ROOSEVELT!! My cousin Jason and his Wife Rachel have agreed to hire me on at the Ink Spot (I'll have to do a post about the Ink Spot later.... oh the memories) My Aunt is currently giving me a roof over my head and yummy food to eat. And now to tie in the title of the post..... I had already said some hard goodbyes and wasn't about to do so again.... so I pretty much didn't tell people I was going (even though it was only for the summer). So if I didn't tell you I was leaving don't think I don't love you, I just didn't want to say goodbye, I am the person who answers C.
