Officially Fall??

Yep another Blog post that I question. I put the question marks in there because with Utah being how it is, tomorrow could be a Sunny Summer-like day. The reason's it feels like Fall:
  • I ate a glazed Doughnut, (doesn't that remind you of Halloween in Elementary, it was a staple of Halloween parties. While eating it I craved Cider) The only time I love Glazed Doughnuts is in the Fall. Thanks Camie for the Doughnut.
  • Whew that first one was long
  • Nope, the above one wasn't a reason it feels like Fall, neither is this one for that matter.
  • Whilst driving with my windows down today I got a little chilly
  • I read some Halloween stories today
  • We tried to dress up like Mummies today (tried but failed because playing with the paper rolls as snow was much funner I guess)
  • I'm wearing a sweater
  • Canning is almost over
  • I want to get out my Fall/Halloween decorations
  • It was soo chilly this morning
  • My Dad was ripping up the Cornstalks from our Garden
  • It was Michaela's Birthday Yesterday!! (Yep, a very Fall-like thing)

Yep feels like Fall. Also, can you tell I'm a huge fan of the Bullet list lately??

Domestic Diva??

Have to include this picture of my Fun and Crazy and Beautiful sister Michaela. She was eating 2 Otter Pops at once; Red and Green. I had to take a picture because her socks match the Otter Pops!!

Domestic Diva.... Am I allowed to be called that?? lol I had to title my post that in honor of this picture and my Super Cute Apron (Ok Rissa's Apron)
Here is a list of my Crazy Wednesday.....

  • Studied for my first Geography Exam
  • Spent extra time getting ready since today was picture day (I felt like I was back in High School, but Thanks to Cheryl for reminding me)
  • Went to work
  • Had a blast at work; Playing tag, Reading stories, and just playing with my kiddies
  • Chatted it up with AC guy. (good thing I spent that extra time getting ready right?)
  • Had to miss out on Yogurt stop (My Wednesday tradition with some super cute kids in the daycare, I'm there next week though no worries!!)
  • In between studying I helped with dinner and canning
  • Eat, Study then off to the testing center
  • Took my Geography exam, (I didn't buy the book for this class and I pretty much knew everything on the test. Crazy because my nutrition class I have the book and I didn't do so well on that exam)
  • Got home in time to help finish canning Apples
  • Did I mention this whole time I was also doing dishes??
  • And now to relax while watching X-Men Origins and try to gear up for another crazy busy day tomorrow..... phew

Bears, Beets, and Battlestar Galactica

We have some amazing neighbors who are Huge fans of The Office (who can blame them). They don't watch the show throughout the year and purchase the Seasons when they come out. Last year they told me about how they have a party to celebrate and this year my sisters, mom and I went and joined festivities. We had some great Mexican food and lots of treats. We started out playing a little Who Said That, Traci (our host) had made up a list of fun Office Quotes. I won some Chocolate Covered Almonds. After the food we got down to business. The Office is still as great ever!! Thanks to the Evans for a great night.

This would be my lovely Centerpiece...... It's not the best picture so in case you can't tell what we have here is; Beets, Cinnamon Bears, and a Battleship. GO DWIGHT!! :)

Note To Self:

Dear Self,
No matter how delicious Oatmeal sounds.... you don't like it!! Seriously you always think it sounds so good and it never is. Sure you can cover it in Brown Sugar and maybe that will taste good. (Especially since you LOVE Brown Sugar) But really, does it ever?? How about next time you decided Oatmeal will taste good just eat a spoonful of Brown Sugar and you won't end up disappointed.
Sincerly,
Yourself

P.S. You also don't like Bananas. You really, REALLY don't like them. Give up, they will never taste as good as you think they will.

One Down.....

Today marks One Year since my little brother left on his mission. I wasn't always a fan of him, when we were little my mom was constantly grounding us to each other. Let me explain: We would fight, over the littlest things that didn't even matter. We fought long and hard, and my mom got sick of this so she decided to ground us to each other when this happened. We were told we had to pick a bedroom and stay in it until we stopped fighting. I would always pick his room because I didn't want his germs in my room. (Yeah I know, I was a little odd.) I remember those times vividly, him playing with his toys and me curled up by his door hoping to be done in there. I'm not sure when it happened, around the time he turned 16 I think, but he got really fun!! I really came to enjoy him, he has a fun, goofy personality. We had a couple of TV shows that we would watch together; Hogan Knows Best, Viva La Bam, all of the I Love The's from VH1. He would read books and recommend them to me; I Am Legend and No Country for Old Men. We even would call each other to just chat about relationship issues and work and family stories. It really bites that we finally got along right before he left on his Mission. He is now serving in the Columbia, South Carolina Mission. I'm proud of him but do miss him. But One Down, One To Go!! Keep up the Great work Elder Uresk, Love Ya!!

Fun Word of the Day!!

Googly Eyes!!

I have always been fan of the word. I love when we do a project at the Daycare and it calls for Googly Eyes, it gives me an excuse to say it many times!! On my way to work today I heard a Geico commercial today that said Googly Eyes, so I figured I should Blog about my love of the Word!! :)
