Mac & Cheese,Trains and 30 Rock x 2 (Part 2)

My last post was getting a little long (Also I was distracted by 30 Rock!) Christmas day we decided to wake up at 7 a.m. and I woke up at 6:48! I am not sure why, I wasn't THAT excited but we waited for the OK from my parents and went upstairs to check out what Santa brought. Santa never wraps our presents, people have asked me before if that is weird but I love it. I got a cute shoe puzzle, sewing stuff, clothes and scrapbooking stuff. After we had enough time to check out all our gifts from Santa we gathered around the tree to open presents from Family and Friends. This year we went from youngest to oldest. I got earrings and manicure stuff from my parents, material from my younger sisters, and 30 ROCK!! Spencer got me the first season of 30 Rock, which if you haven't seen it than you are missing out!! The very last gift to open up was a HUGE box for the family, only my Dad knew what it was and we were all very curious to see what it was. We all tore it open and were surprised by a Lionel Train!! Every year we set up a wooden train around our Christmas tree so we thought that is what this new train was for, turns out my Dad already had grand plans for this train. He is going to build a shelf in the game room when it is finished and set it up there. (I will post pictures when this happens, could be another year or so.) Curtis and Ashley showed up around noon and we called Tyler around 12:30. It was so weird to talk to him. It was a perfect Christmas present though. Later on in the day I went to Devin's to exchange gifts. I made him a BYU quilt, (He is a HUGE fan) and I got him a fan for his Laptop. He got me some lotions and sprays (Love Spell and Berry Kiss) and ............... Season 1 of 30 ROCK!! lol It worked out great because we exchanged it and I now own 30 Rock seasons 1 & 2. The rest of the day was spent just laying around, snacking on all the delicious treats we had. Devin, Carissa, Michaela, Gary and I also played a few rounds of our new Clue card game. Clue has to be my FAVORITE game EVER!! So this ends my Christmas day post.

We do this every year (also for Birthdays), I love looking back over past Christmas's and remembering what I got. Man I look happy! :)

I of course didn't take any pictures Christmas day, but here I am working on Devin's quilt.

Mac & Cheese,Trains and 30 Rock x 2

I wish I had pictures, I didn't take hardly any. That is a shame because this Christmas was probably the best ever. The only sad part was not having my younger brother with us. He is on his Mission, serving in South Carolina. We did get to talk to him, I'll tell about that later though. This year on Christmas Eve we had our traditional meal of Steak and Seafood. We had SOOOO much food; Steaks, 2 different types of sausages, Crab Legs, Shrimp, and Scallops. The only problem with this I don't like Seafood and neither does my youngest sister Carissa. We fix this by making Macaroni & Cheese, usually we make home made but this year we made Kraft!! Yep, we are fancy!! So we had our great feast and we also had English Party Crackers, something I hope will become a new tradition. My Dad went on his mission to England so that is why we got them, I got a new measuring tape in mine, and a cute crown. We then played Apples to Apples, our family's favorite game. We played a couple of rounds and had a BLAST, I didn't win once but still fun!! We then each opened one present, Michaela, Carissa, Spencer and I got new pajamas. We look forward to that every year, and when we were younger we would get matching pajamas. This year my Mom really surprised us by explaining that while she sewed them, my Dad picked out all the fabric. He did a GREAT job!! Mine were Pink and had Crowns (TOTALLY ME). My younger sisters and I had our traditional sleepover, we watched movies and fell asleep long before we planned to. Well this is getting long so I will Blog about Christmas Day another day.

What a Day!

Yesterday was such a fun day, my Cousin Melinda came from Payson!! Her husband Phil was doing some electrical work for Curtis's Dad and some stuff around my house. They got to my house pretty early and Ashley, Curtis and Major (their puppy) showed up shortly after. Curtis and Phil went to the Galbraith home and then the fun began!! Major and Princess were sent outside to play in the snow, and Sarah, Alyssa and Ryland went downstairs to play with all of our toys. Ryland and I had a couple races across the family room. He would say, Ready, Set (and at this point he would start to push his car) Go!! The little cheater bug! :) It was so fun to race with him and hear him yell "Jatee, Race Me." The girls had a blast playing with the Barbies, Pollys and basically every toy we own lol. After a while Lyss wanted to go outside and after they got the toys cleaned up (I have to say that you did a good job girls!!) they went outside and were attacked by the dogs. At this point I need to explain that Princess loves new people and shows her love by jumping and licking which can be scary if you aren't used to it. Also Major is a puppy so he likes to play, so when I say attacked I mean in a loving way if that is possible. :) The girls came running in, Alyssa had lost her coat and her shoe! Needless to say, they were done being outside. Now to the crafty part of the day!! My cousin Melinda is AMAZING at crafty stuff, and whenever I visit her or she visits us she has something cute to do! We made cute tins for Christmas presents and the CUTEST Cards. She then gave us some kits for cute scrapbook pages. Thanks Min, you are great!!
After they went home my little sisters, dad and I went to the Mall to shop for some gifts for my mom. I think we did rather well. I went to Devin's after that and those of you that know me know that I am not a fan of sports. That may be an understatement!! lol Anyways I just happen to be dating the biggest sports fan EVER!! (Also the cutest guy ever!!) Anyway I went over to watch the BYU game, and by this I mean, Devin watched the game and I worked on a quilt that I'm making for the Warrens. It sounds weird but hey, it works!! We went out to look at the lights (kind of) and after we got Hot Cocoa. So taking everything into account, Saturday was a GREAT day!!

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

I am not sure if I have mentioned this before but my friend Camie told me about a website that will put your blog into a hardbound book! I was so excited because I have always wanted to be a good journal writer but never really got into the habit. So I am now going to use this as a journal and hope that it will get me into the habit of writing in an actual journal for my more personal experiences. So I apologize if my posts get long, or if I do too many. I won't be offended at all if you don't read them.

Every year the kids in my family get so excited when we pull out the decorations and finally pull out Rudolph, our favorite decoration of all. Back in his glory days he would play music, walk and his nose would flash. We loved to put him on the hardwood and watch him walk around. So sad was the day that we pulled him out and he no longer worked. Our Mom offered to buy us the new one from Build-A-Bear. (which I now want after holding Elizabeth's) we all protested though. There are so many memories of him. Every year we leave a Carrot out for Rudolph along with Santa's Milk and Cookies. One year we decided to be sneaky and set a trap for Rudolph. We put a cardboard box in the family room and set up a stick to hold up one end. We tied a string to that stick and the other end to Rudolph's Carrot, which we put under the box. The next morning we were so excited to see if it worked. When we got upstairs the box was down, the trap worked!! We thought we had him, we couldn't wait to play with our pet Reindeer. Imagine our surprise when we looked inside that box, and there was our toy Reindeer!! That Santa is so sneaky!! So this concludes the story of my favorite decoration, hopefully he is around forever!!

Sorry I crammed 11 cookies into the VCR

The title really doesn't have much to do with the subject of my post but I am watching ELF as I write this and it is at that part. What a great movie!!
As you may have noticed I like to do Bulletin Boards, My goal is to do a new one each month. This month Jeri had the kids cut out pictures of what they wanted and glue the pictures on paper stockings. It is so cute to see all of the things that the kids want for Christmas. I decided to ask the kids simple questions about Santa and other Christmas things. I asked these questions:
  • What is Santa's favorite color?
  • What does Santa eat for Breakfast?
  • How does Rudolph's nose glow?
  • What does Mrs. Claus do while Santa is delivering presents?
  • How does Santa get down the chimney?
  • Does Santa ever go on vacation?

These are just a few of the answers I got, a few of my favorites include,
  • He said "Beautiful Nose" to Rudolph on the movie so his favorite color is Red.
  • Santa eats breakfast at night when he is delivering presents, the Milk & Cookies are his breakfast.
  • When you push his foot his nose flashes.
  • Mrs. Claus is making a shirt, that's just what girls do.
  • We don't have a Chimney so he makes a hole, well a chimney and goes down that
  • Yes, when he is delivering presents that is his Vacation.
On Friday we made these really cute Reindeer cookies, I had to post a picture so you could make them Min. :) I have no idea where Jeri got the idea but they turned out SUPER CUTE!! (And SUPER YUMMY)

Decorating for Christmas

The sad things about this picture is that
A. It wasn't staged, we had been decorating and decided that we would finish all the little stuff on Monday and randomly all picked up books to read
B. This is pretty much what we looked like right after Church too
C. Seconds earlier Rissa had also been reading but was forced to stop because Princess needed attention

As I said in my last post I LOVE to Decorate, especially for Christmas. I am going to try my hardest to post more, we will see how that goes. ;) My family decorated today and we had a blast. I realized a few things about my family:
-If there was a prize for reading too much we would easily win that
-We will never let our old broken Rudolph go
-We may get a little TOO much pleasure from hiding Ryker in the Christmas tree and a Mouse around the family room

I am not the best at taking pictures so I apologize if they aren't the clearest. This is my believe block that I got at the Day After Thanksgiving sale at Ben Franklin. I am not totally satisfied with it yet. I may post a changed picture later.

Yes I have an American Girl Doll!! I waited until I was 18 to get one so I am going to display and dress her proudly!! I got Nellie which is funny because growing up I had all the Addy books. I got the black window decoration at TaiPan!! It was a STEAL!!

I am one of those Crazy people that loves to Decorate trees in a Theme, I have had the following: Candy Tree, Princess Tree and a Black, White and Silver Tree. I was using my sister's because she had no room in previous Christmas's for a Tree. This year she has a house so I gave her tree back and still wanted to display my decorations; I had to get creative! lol These are from the Candy Tree.

The ornaments in my carriage are part of my Black and White Tree. You can't tell but there are some cute ones in there including my favorite from Coronado. We have gone there twice for Thanksgiving and once for Christmas. We don't stay in the actual Hotel but we always go visit that beach.

Just another picture, including my Reindeer Carousel. (I have ALWAYS loved Carousels)

Thanksgiving!! (only a little late)

I am really behind on my posts, I just realized that Halloween was pretty much the last post I did. I was going to do a post about Thanksgiving but I got the flu on Thanksgiving so that pretty much ruined that idea. I spent the day on the couch, and ate Ritz Crackers. But some positives about the day:
-I got to watch my favorite episode of Friends; The One with the Late Thanksgiving
-Devin came over and gave me his old phone since mine dies five minutes into a phone call
-I won a SUPER CUTE head band in a game of Bingo (Yep that is a picture of them)

The day after Thanksgiving I felt totally fine and was able to make it to Ben Franklin where they had all their Vynil Lettering 40% off!! I was able to control myself though and only got 2 sayings and also got a glass block to go with one of them. (I will post pictures of them later on) I had a BLAST decorating my room for Christmas, I love to decorate and can't wait to have a house of my own to go crazy decorating!! Anyways here are some pictures my fall decorations.

It is hard to tell, because I had a hard time getting a good picture of these. They are the tiny pumpkins, I mod podged them and put different shades of sparkles on them. I also put beads on them kind of like little leaves. Again it's not a great picture.

I love this little carriage, anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE Princess stuff, and this totally reminds me of Cinderella!! I got this with my Amazing friend Kristy, I pretty much love her!! I got it when I was visiting her in Logan, it was at a store called, Sugar and Spice. Cute name huh? I saw this and Had to have it!! I added the leaves for fall, and in my next post you will see what I did for Christmas!! I know the suspense is killing you!!
I also did another bulletin board for Thanksgiving at work, and this is how it turned out.

This is the finished product, and yes I stole the saying from you Melinda!!

Of course I am going to make a Turkey!! I love to do the art projects too!!

Halloween is Coming!!

It is getting closer to Halloween, and I am having SO much Fun doing Halloween Stuff with my Preschoolers. I don't really remember having this much fun when I was younger. lol So far we have read spooky stories such as....
  1. Goodnight Goon - a parody of one of my favorite kid books called Goodnight Moon SUPER CUTE
  2. The Green Ribbon - And Jenny's Head Rolled Off!!
  3. Heckedy Pegg - Not technically a Halloween story but it does have a Witch in it
Here is a Picture of the Bulletin Board that I made with all of the Kids Feet, I am so glad it turned out, I tried last year but it's hard to get everyone's foot traced, especially the little, little kids.... I didn't have to get theirs but their feet made the CUTEST Little Bitty Ghosts!!

This is some of my kids dressed up as Mummies.... the paper didn't stay on the best though. In this picture we have Miss Jessica, Oliviah, Miss Debbie, Will, Noah, and Abbie.

This is just a small idea of the mess they made with the paper. They were having SOOO much fun so I just let them go crazy, at one point they were playing in it like it was snow. It was so fun to see them enjoying themselves with just paper. lol

I decided to have more Halloween fun with my Pre-Schoolers so on Wednesday I washed out a rubber type glove and filled it with water and left it in the freezer so that Friday at snack we had Fruit Snacks and a cute bowl of water with ice in the shape of a HAND!!! The only problem with this treat was all the kids wanted to touch it!! Other than that, it was a HIT!! They loved it, especially when it melted and the fingers started to break. I love it when I am able to make them happy with fun simple things like this.

Tyler's Farewell and the MTC

I have been slow about posting, there has just been so much going on!! I'm not sure who knows my little brother Tyler, but he just left on his Mission the Tenth of September. Before I talk about that though I will talk about his Farewell. This is a lovely picture that I was totally prepared for if you can't tell!! In this picture we have Ashley, Curtis, Me and Devin. I have no idea why my face looks like that. P.S. isn't Devin cute!! The second one was supposed to be a funny one for Rissa, I am pretending to pick my nose.... Devin wouldn't do it too so he was supposed to look at me in disgust but he doesn't look to disgusted. lol A little bit about Devin: Our first date was August 7th, we went to Dark Knight. We have been dating ever since and he is so great!! Funny story, I invited him to the farewell, and he hadn't really met Tyler yet and we hadn't been on too many dates at this point so when I invited him I didn't really expect him to agree to come. He of course said yes and I was Super excited. Soon after I was on my way home and had to text Ashley and tell her my exciting news, only problem was I had Devin on the brain and accidentally sent the text to him..... Super Embarrassing!! He was a sweetheart about it though!! :) Anyway back to the Farewell: My family was all there, cousins, aunts, uncles. It was soo much fun. We had such a great time, eating, chatting, racing, and even got some Rock Band in.

And now to the MTC..... Tyler went in the 10th of September and up until the night before he was fine. But the night before he got sooo nervous, and of course this made him sick. All the kids slept in the family room together while watching Singles Ward, it was a great last night. The next morning we all went to Chili's, then proceeded to the MTC. It all went kind of fast and before I knew it we were told to leave. Up to this point I hadn't cried, It was when I saw him hugging my little sister Rissa and they were both crying that I lost it!! But we just got a letter from him today so I am not as worried about him as I was. Hopefully I will update this more often. lol

Sacramende and Versaucy

For those of you who don't watch Arrested Development religiously like Traci, Sacramende is where Lindsey Bluth thinks her daughter is. (She is actually in Sacramento, us too) While on our Plane change in Las Vegas we tried to do some slot machines, but the stupid slots only tookWell I should probably write all about my trip........ It has taken me long enough!! lol Traci and I went to Sacramende to visit our friend Missy and finally got to see her adorable baby Abbi with our own eyes!! Yep she is real and super cute!!
On both planes we saw a kid with Versaci glasses. We spent a good portion of our morning trying to figure out if they were real or fake. While there we did a lot of shopping and Abbi was asleep almost the whole time!! While on our way to Traci's Favorite store H&M we stopped At a Grocery Store, and I had to get a picture of me in front of the beer thanks to The Office. One episode Andrew Bernard keeps saying "Beer Me....." as in Beer Me That Water or Beer Me That Disc.
Traci is Awesome and asked a Waiter to "Beer her a DP" that MADE my day!! The long car road home wasn't too bad either.... we had a list of things to find like a pink billboard, a kayak, and other random stuff. We did Celebrity crossword puzzles, and read Celebrity gossip to each other. So I would like to officially call our trip a Success and also thank Missy and Brad for inviting us!! Also Welcome back to Utah guys!! (Yes this is Me and Michaelangelo GRRRR!!)

Ink Spot and ER

So I am staying in Roosevelt helping out my family with the Ink Spot. My Cousin Jason owns a print shop, and who knows if I am of any help. I did some shrink wrapping, and I made some booklets, Glued, Invoiced, and played with Preston. He is the Shop Kitty that was found in an old Press out Back...... which is how he got his name. Clever right? Later on I was reading my book, and I heard my Aunt talking to someone heading to the ER. I was Freaking out a little, especially when she got off and Said My Cousin Kylene's Boy Tyson Fell and Cracked his head open. I was worried about nothing, I was helping my Aunt watch his brothers and sister and he was totally fine when they picked up the other kids. He was like "Well Tanner pushed the slide and I fell and Cut my head so they glued it up, and then I got to push the button for the Root Beer" He also informed me he was strong enough to lift his bed and said he would try to lift mine!! What a Sweetheart!! Tanner and I played Candy Land, while Drake attacked the board and all the cards. Kacie Mae and I finished when Tanner lost interest. I lost both times........ (I have become a pro at making sure I lose at Candy Land, I have actual Super Powers) .......... (Name the FRIENDS Actor or Actress that said that Traci!!)

Midnight Reading on the Trampoline

So Manly Adam...... (yes that is his actual name) mentioned reading out loud while we were hanging out once. Apparently it's loads of fun... so I agreed to try it out. I had my doubts and I giggled a lot at first, but I have to admit that it is a great way to read. Granted we won't get done fast because I have to move back home earlier than planned but it's way fun so I don't mind if it takes a while. We are reading Loves Music, Loves to Dance. A Mary Higgins Clark book and a good one at that. We didn't read long because the bugs were eating us alive. Manly Adam is going to be a man and get us Bug Spray. So hopefully now we will get further in the book. I'll keep you all updated!! :)

Who knows the 4th month of the Jewish Calendar?? After we had finished our sandwiches from the Old Griste Mill, we were discussing writing a book about a Killer Duck named Chuck.... (See Traci's Blog) Manly Adam came to visit. (He also helped with the crossword) We all watched some kids jumping from the rocks, that was pretty fun. Later Traci, Brody and I went to the Mall, I won't go into detail because I get upset... and then I went to Traci's for a BBQ and Guitar Hero and are you ready......SING STAR!! Needless to say.... Awesome Time!! Traci, don't get sick of me OK. (Brody also)

Indiana Jones and Firehouse Grill

I have wanted to See the 4th Indiana Jones for the longest time.... I have always loved the movies because they remind me of my dad. Anyone that has met my dad should know how awesome he is. Movies are always funnier when watched with him, he is a HUGE fan of Indiana Jones. So Kristy, Traci and I finally set a date to watch them. Monday July 7th. We decided to watch the movie, then go eat at Firehouse Grill, I basically love to eat there!! The movie was a little out there... But really I LOVED IT!! The food was delicious, obviously, and the Company was honestly amazing!!

Chili's and Honks!!

So yesterday was a pretty awesome day!! (Monday) Traci and I had plans to go get a slice of bread together but the place was closed so we decided to go to my apartment and play FRIEND'S Scene It. While playing that we decided to go out to eat at Chili's YUM!! The waiter had to help us decide what to get and we ended up getting way too much but it was all YUMMY! We were probably annoying customers. He asked us if we wanted a Starter and we were like oh no we're good. But then we saw the spinach and artichoke dip and decided to get a starter as part of our meal..... it was DELICIOUS!! I had a 25 dollar Gift Certificate and our meal came to....... wait for it.......... 25.12!! so Traci put the 12 cents on her card.... that's right 12 cents!! (plus tip)

So while looking in our wallets we were commenting on our collection of change and decided to do something random with it....... Thus began our trip to Honk's. It was a hard decision..... we were thinking about getting some cute water wings in the shape of Turtles and each taking one..... Traci probably can't swim.. JK!! and we looked at a HOT cell phone with matching aviators!! unfortunately the cell phone was fake. Then we decided on a ...... PUZZLE!! it had Snoopy, and the whole gang. We took it back to my apartment and figured it would be way easy... it took us two disc's of FRIENDS to get it finished...... It was hard work but with teamwork, sweat and determination we got through it.

Here are some pic's of us hard at work!!

PS ask us about Crafty Thursday!! (Sorry Traci Jo there is no way to do my Crafty Hands on this Blog)

For Missy and Abbi

I would Like to Officially dedicate this post to Missy because she demanded I update my post and so I am. (ok she didn't demand.... at least I don't think) Missy is so close to having her little girl and I can't wait even though she decided to be dumb and move to Cali so I can't even hold Abbi. JerkFace!! I will be a nuisance and invite myself the day she moves back to Utah!! YAY!! So I am officially moved into my apartment in Logan. I had a blast cleaning and organizing and putting my stuff away. I am also getting some good exercise because my room is at the very top. Kristy and Brian kindly counted the steps and there are 28!! Speaking of Brian.... I totally insisted he and Kristy were going to have a girl.... I was wrong. I am sure he will never stop giving me crap!! Although I did make a Boy blanket before I knew it was a boy.... so maybe I knew subconsciously. jk. Kristy has decided that I will meet the man of my dreams on July 10th as revealed unto her. I am glad I have her lookin out for me and receiving inspirations for me. Although I kinda wish it had been revealed unto her that I would meet Mr. Right on 6/7/8 because... (and I only admit this on my blog because there are a total of 3 people that read it lol) that day I met a very Hot Guy!! Grr!! but I will trust my Kristy Kay. (Hopefully Mr. Rights last name is Right, that would make him so much easier to find) I am watching the Office and have forgotten all the great quotes.... KISS= Keep It Simple Stupid!!. When asked my favorite quote on a church survey I put.... Kick up your Heels, Paint the Town Red, The World is Your Oyster!! Hopefully everyone knows what that is from. Me and My sister Ashley always say that to each other. I stopped at her house on Wednesday so I now have yummy knots berry farm cookies, hot tamales, butterfingers, and popcorn that has expired more than a year ago!! YUM!! Anyone that wants some let me know.... again there are only three of you reading this.... don't be shy... there is lots to go around!!

Fish Lemonaide and the Toothbrush Slut

So after all the waiting Friday finally came, and Rissa and I finally saw Prince Caspian!! I HIGHLY recommend it to all. Throughout the whole movie I had an overwhelming sense of shock, awe, power, amazement, anxiety........ I have always been a huge fan of the underdog and their empowerment. The nerd who gets the girl, the football team made up of misfits, and the tiny ants standing up to the Giant Grasshoppers. During the movie I did come to a realization about myself, I think too much about how certain scenes were made. Every time I see Enchanted I wonder about the scene where Giselle puts the fish in her mouth, It's not a real fish is it? or is it. What did they use? Or when you see those scenes where the girl is wearing a skimpy dress and the man is in a suit and tie... I have to wonder who is the uncomfortable..... is she freezing while he is perfectly comfortable, Or is she fine while he sweats....... personally I hope it's the later.
So I was staying at my sisters and I think she only invites me when she has furniture that needs to be put together! JK part of it is my fault.... I love putting furniture together. I have to think I have some manly qualities because I hate using instructions. Anyways back to my original point is that while I was there I realized that I had forgotten my toothbrush and she gave me an extra one. She gave me a bag and drawer to keep it in, bringing my toothbrush count up to 4. One at the Warrens, Bakers, Ashleys and my House. When Kristy finishes her house my count will be up to 5. So hurry up Kristy Kay!!

Great Day At Work

I have been reading my Friends Blogs, (Traci and Missy) and have finally decided to start my own blog. I can't promise an exciting read.... Except maybe when I tell about the one time I was going for a jog, and totally ran into this French guy who needed me to smuggle some rare jewels for him (Yes this actually did happen, Come now)

Today was another great day at work. I work at a Daycare taking care of the Cutest kids!! I know I shouldn't have Favorites, but there are just some kids that have stolen my heart. One in particular, Baby Alivia. She turned one in December so isn't really a baby anymore, but we have a 3 year old also named Oliviah. Therefore we have baby Alivia and big Oliviah. Baby Alivia and I have become attached and will cry when I leave and always say Jacque!! only sometimes it sounds like doggie or duckie.

Tomorrow is the Office season Finale!! AHHHH and I am freaking out!! I love Jim! I quite literally cried when I thought he was proposing the first time... that is how into it I am. Luckily I was house sitting at my neighbors and all alone. And then Friday is Prince Caspian, I'm taking my little sister for a late birthday present. We are super excited.

Hey!! Would this blog count as Journaling? I have tried to pass my Scrapbooking off as journaling but this is better I think!! Give me ideas as to what to write in this, if not I'll probably end up writing only about my job, shoes, the color pink, and food!!
