Family Party
My Aunt Carol invited us to a holiday party in her Clubhouse. It was with some of the funnest cousins EVER.
Sarah Baker and her stuffed animal named Ashley.
We played hide the Bear.
Of course there is a game of Ticket2Ride going on!! At this table we have: Michaela in the brown hoodie, Rissa stretching, Abigail grinning, Uncle Wendell concentrating on the game, Cousin Clayton smiling. (He just left on his Mission to Canada)
Cousins Rachel and Melinda, also Miles crawling on the floor. This is after we ate and played games. The food was great and games were fun!! (At one point I spilled the Scrabble game on the floor, that got me big round of applause)

Santa Claus is Coming To Town!!
December started with a phone call from the Office telling us someone had left a gift for the kids there. The kids went to see what had been left for them and it was this book.
That was the beggining of December, near the end a special visitor came:
After the story came the most anticipated time... PRESENT TIME!!
Elf on the Shelf: A magic Elf comes during to watch over you every day. He leaves at night and tells Santa every good and bad thing you did that day, then he returns to a new spot every day. You can't touch him because his magic might go away.
His first hiding spot, he had some GREAT ones. There were a few that must have required some extra magic to stay. Great hiding Buddy.

Santa Claus!! He started his visit with a story.

As if I'm not Fixating Enough....
I love my Kiddies.... they give me joy and make me laugh, but there are some days that they, well, they ruin my day a little bit.
Today out of the blue:
Noah: Miss Jacque, are you going to have another baby?
Me: Um, I don't HAVE a baby.
Noah: Why don't you have a baby?
Me: Because I'm not married.
Noah: Why aren't you married?
Me: I guess I haven't found the right guy yet.
Noah: Why haven't you found the right guy yet?
Me: I just don't know.
Noah: Oh, I thought you were supposed to be married.
Me: I'm not, but thanks, thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Michaela Lay La
Michaela tried out for Basketball today!! She hasn't heard if she made first cuts yet, but I'm so proud of her for trying out!! I would like to think that the reason She and Rissa are so athletic is that all my athletic ability was given to them. Good Luck Michaela, I hope you make it!! :)

On Wednesday Michaela and I went to the Yalecrest Live Nativity. The foods teacher at Bountiful High is in the LDS Ward that contributes to this, along with several other faiths. I was so sad that I wasn't able to go last year, but so EXCITED to go this year. You walked in past Soldiers, sat around the fire sipping hot chocolate while listening to Angels singing. After a short walk past the live Camel you came to the Manger and listened to the story of Christmas, what a spiritual and truly great experience. Really reminded me what is important this time of year. And now for some pictures.
And it came to pass in those days that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.
And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem.
And she brought forth her first born son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, whent before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts,; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Books for Christmas
Can't wait to read my new book I'm getting for Christmas (I picked it out). Every year we get a gift card for Barnes & Noble, some may call this nerdy but what can I say... we Uresks love to read!! Also can I say that I'm not excited that it snowed.... yeah it's beautiful but it really messes with your plans. I don't want to complain so I will list great things about the snow (even if it ruined my trip to see the Bakers and a certain Hermit I know)
- Hot Chocolate tastes better when you look out at the snow
- Building Snowmen
- Snow Angels
- Snowball fights
- Sledding
- It really is pretty
- The Crunchy sound it makes when you walk in it
- Listening to Christmas Carols is better with Snow falling outside
- Sitting by a warm fire

Pajamas
Yep another post... I was saying I wanted to do a post-a-day until Christmas to one of my afternoon girls (yes I mean you Grace). She said it didn't sound stupid at all, so if you think it is stupid blame her, Grace. Not me, Jacque :)
Every year my Mom makes us pajamas for Christmas. We have had matching Reindeer pants, Scooby Doo, Barbie and much more. One year we got matching pillow cases. We always open them Christmas Eve and get pictures wearing them. Can't wait to see what they look like this year!!

The Great Walled Country
At the North end of the world, further than anyone has traveled, is a land filled with children. It's filled with children because no one ever grows up. They play a great deal of the time with dolls and tin soldiers, and every night at 7 o'clock they have a bowl of bread and milk and go to bed.
This story is about their Christmas Season. It is a grand event, being so close to the North Pole with ice and snow everywhere. Grandfather Christmas lives nearby, his house leans against the great wall. Grandfather Christmas is his name in the Great Walled Country, we know him as Santa Clause.
He loves the little children behind the great wall of ice and one great thing about having Grandfather Christmas for a neighbor is that in the Great Walled Country they never have to buy Christmas gifts, every Christmas Eve, before he delivers gifts to the rest of the world, Grandfather Christmas goes to the Forest in the back of the Great Walled Country and fills the trees with candy, books, toys and all sorts of good things. When night comes the children wrap up snugly and go into the forest to gather gifts for their friends. Each one goes by themselves as to keep their gifts a secret. No one ever thinks to take a present for themself, and the forest is large enough that no one sees their presents and there is enough for everyone.
But one year, many years ago, the children in the land had a strange Christmas. A visitor came to the land, an old man who was the first stranger to succeed in getting over the wall.
When he met the King and heard about their Christmas celebration he had this to say, "Why take so much trouble, and act in such a round about way? Why not go out together, and everyone get his own present? That would save the trouble of dividing them up again, and everyone could pick out just what he wanted for himself!"
On Christmas Eve, when the clock struck 10, everyone sang carols then wished a Merry Christmas to the person next to them. This year the King felt the carols where not as merry, and the childrens eyes did not shine as gladly, but there could be no reason for this, since everyone was expecting a better time than usual. So he thought no more of it.
Only one person wasn't happy about the new tradition, Inge who's sister was a cripple and wouldn't be able to go and gather presents for herself. He worried what she would do, for the King ordered they gather gifts for only themselves. He didn't ask anyones advice but silently decided to not obey the proclamation.
Ten minutes after the children had set off to gather gifts they were found with tears on their faces, they had never seen such a christmas before. No Presents. After hours of weary searching they came across Inge carrying a bag overflowing with gifts. They were astonished and couldn't believe their eyes, he hid the contents of his bag so they wouldn't see they were for his sister. "I left more behind than I brought away," he said. There they are, I can see them from here."
But when the children followed his footsteps to where he had been they saw nothing, perhaps he had filled his bag with cones from the tree. On Christmas day there was sadness in the Great Walled Country, but those who went to the house of Inge and his sister saw plenty of books, dolls and beautiful things. Everyone went to the King and it was decided they would pay a visit to Grandfather Christmas, to see why they had forgotten them.
"Oh sir, it is us from the Great Walled Country, the King has sent us to ask why you forgot us."
Then Grandfather Christmas said this, "The presents were there, but they were not intended for children who were looking only for themselves. I am not surprised you could not see them."
The Proclamation was made next year, that everyone was to seek gifts for others.
I know this was a little long, but it's one of my favorite Christmas stories.

On the First Day of Christmas My Tulip Gave to Me...
Yesterday after lunch we had a coloring party in the kitchen (not a technical party, just a bunch of girls coloring christmas pictures). Miss Jeri had put some Christmas music in and after a while one of the girls turns to me and says, "Who's Tulip", I was lost. I told her I didn't know and she continued to ask me. I was doing the fastest thinking of my life, then it came to me: "It's not Tulip it's TRUE LOVE , On the First Day of Christmas My TRUE LOVE Gave to Me" I started singing along with the song and she stops me and says, "Miss Jacque, You're not my True Love". "Oh I know, if you were my True Love your name would be Costco", (Name she gave Ken in one of our Daycare Barbie Weddings). We couldn't stop laughing.......

Well Thanksgiving is over and I figured I'd bore you with yet another post. I seem to have done a LOT lately, but I figure it's good since this is also my journal. The morning was spent snacking and playing Speed Scrabble with all of my sisters. This meant lots of funny conversations, and a random game of Hide and Seek. The afternoon was busy with all the cooking, (I'm grateful for the chance to improve my cooking skills and learn some new recipes.) and running to my trusty neighbors to use their oven. (Thank you Warrens) After our Thanksgiving feast our cousins came for Pie and games. I may have even snuck some reading in. I have so much to be Thankful for (for example, not getting sick). I have a great family that will shortly include my first Nephew, I seriously can't wait for the little boy to get here. I have amazing friends who inspire me to be better. I have a job that I LOVE and little Pre-schoolers that teach me and make me smile. A Church that is true and a loving God. There is much much more but I wanted this to just be short. Happy Thanksgiving

Ramblings.....
It's 3:07 A.M. and yes that means I was just out watching New Moon, (Great Movie!!). I feel like it is the end of the week what with the stress of school this week. My geography teacher was sick 3 weeks ago, I found out by the letter on the classroom door. Well the day before my next geography class I checked my Weber E-mail... something I never do. I had a Red letter, when you get these you know it means business.... it was from the teacher saying class was cancelled do to illness, I'm thinking GREAT another day off. Well there are 2 brothers that are in my Geography class and I'm talking to them a couple days after my "cancelled" class, I jokingly ask how their 2 weeks off were and they look at me like I'm crazy. Yeah the email had been from the week before and long story short I missed the class, review and test. Luckily the Teacher is a great guy, really understanding and he extended the test for a couple of us. Only problem is, it took forever to get the review from him (thank heavens I got a copy from the girl who sits next to me just in case.) also when I went to take the test they told me it wasn't extended but I was welcome to take it and see if he accepted it. Today in class he didn't have it, oh the stress...... finally got it worked out and I'm done with tests and stress for the week. Now all that is left is fun stuff (minus CPR training in 3 and 1/2 hours). Hopefully the weather holds out enough for me to see my Cousins, see Adam, and make it back home safely for NUTCRACKER!!

Ultimate Mini Pool
What happens if you are bored on a Sunday...... You get CREATIVE!!
Michaela and I were chatting in my room and we were both very bored and couldn't think of something to do, we decided Pool would be fun. After 1 normal round we got a little kooky. We jokingly said that we should put obstacles on the table, then we were like.... Why Not??
This is what the first round was. A little People Zoo that you had to hit the ball through the tunnel, a Weight from my brothers Weight bench, and a Gate. (the Triangle was just temporary while we broke.) The Gate was fun because it went wherever we scratched, a floating gate.
On my second shot I hit mine through the Tunnel!!
Going through the Tunnel!!
So Proud!!
Rissa came and joined the fun and of course we had to make up nicknames for ourselves and change the rules.
New Rules:
We are all assigned numbers and our goal is to knock everyone elses numbers in.
The Players:

We also introduced the Little People Carwash. Really you are never too old to play with Little People!!
I hit Rissa's ball through the Carwash and got the Cue Ball stuck. We went with the Happy Gilmore Rule: Hit the Ball as it Lies.
The setup was constantly changing. Thanks to my silly sisters for co-creating Ultimate Mini Pool
